Nasi Kunyit

Ingredients

1 cup glutinous rice

1 1/2 cups water

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 cups lite coconut milk

3/4 cup So Good Almond Unsweetened

1/4 tsp salt

4 pandan leaf

1 tsp whole peppercorn

Method

  1. Place the water, glutinous rice and turmeric powder in a stainless bowl and soak overnight.
  2. Prepare a steamer, and place either parchment paper or banana leaf if needed.
  3. Strain the turmeric rice, and place in the steamer.
  4. Add tied pandan leaves.
  5. Steam for 10 minutes.
  6. Mix the coconut milk, So Good Almond Unsweetened, salt, whole peppercorn then mix into the steaming rice, steam for another 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the pandan leaves and serve.
